Rebekah, I finally tested the 2 WindCutter models and must say I am very pleased with the results. The smaller (Stick-On) model for my Sony HDR-HC9 has cut down the wind noise by over 70% (pretty good) and the rest of the noise is muffled to a point where I feel it can be fixed in the post with much ease. This small camera is mainly used for HD footage using a Merlin Steadycam, as it weighs only 650 g (1 lb 6 oz) including battery and minidv cassette. And the image quality is excellent.

As for the bigger model for the Sony XDCAM-EX, results were even better. One nice thing I really like is the fit of the WindCutter on this camera, it's excellent and the long hair is not in the way of the lens.

As a conclusion, I strongly recommend your product as a very efficient way to reduce wind noise and at the same time give a nice look to any cameras using it.
